Oliver is a San Diego–based tattoo artist specializing in large-scale geometric and ornamental work, with over 16 years of professional experience. For more than a decade, he has refined a signature style rooted in dot work, blackwork, shading, and blast-overs-blending raw, organic patterns with sweeping architectural lines to create pieces that feel both structured and fluid. Drawing inspiration from textiles, nature, and global design, his work is deeply intentional and always tailored to complement the natural flow of the body.

Originally from Durban, South Africa, Oliver grew up surrounded by a vibrant, tropical landscape along the Indian Ocean, an environment that continues to influence his artistic perspective. He began tattooing at just 15 years old, quickly realizing it was his path. After relocating to Joshua Tree, California, he apprenticed under Cameron Fuhrer before moving to San Francisco, where he immersed himself in the geometric and blackwork community. During his time there, he owned and operated Temperance Tattoo and Sangoma Tattoo, collaborating with artists from around the world and further honing his craft.

While working in San Francisco, Oliver made several guest appearances at Guru Tattoo in San Diego, an experience that left a lasting impression. Surrounded by a diverse group of highly skilled artists across a wide range of styles, he knew it was the right creative environment for his next chapter. He now tattoos full-time at Guru Tattoo in Little Italy, continuing to evolve his work while contributing to a dynamic and collaborative artistic space.
