Jay has been tattooing for over 15 years, beginning his career in San Jose, California. He specializes in traditional and neo-traditional tattooing, blending bold, timeless techniques with nostalgic subject matter inspired by anime, classic video games, and Disney. His work is a celebration of both classic tattoo artistry and the pop culture that shaped generations.

As an artist, Jay is inspired by people and ideas that push creative boundaries simply for the sake of art. He is constantly looking for new ways to evolve while staying true to the fundamentals of great tattooing.

Jay loves being part of the team at Guru Tattoo, where he finds daily inspiration from the talented artists around him. He values the collaborative atmosphere and strong support system, believing it’s a place any artist would be grateful to call home.

Outside of the studio, Jay enjoys surfing, golfing, and painting whenever he’s not tattooing. He’s also a devoted family man, happily married to his beautiful wife and the proud father of a daughter in high school.
