Rory featured in new book "Black Tattoo Art: Modern Expression of the Tribal"

We are proud to announce Rory is featured in an upcoming book about tribal tattoo artists.
Quick facts about the book:
- The full title is "Black Tattoo Art: Modern Expression of the Tribal"
- Large Format 24,5 x 31,5 cm (9.65" x 12.4")
- Weighs 3 kilos (over 6lbs!)
- 536 pages, over 500 photographs in full color texts in German and English (there will also be an Italian version out soon)
- Hardcover thread-bound with silver embossing
Highlights:
- With over 500 color photographs, Black Tattoo Art takes you on a journey across the globe -- from Borneo to Belgium, Argentina to Athens, New York to New Zealand and beyond -- in search of avant-garde tattoo art that pays homage to the ancient roots of tattooing in their contemporary interpretations.
- The book is divided into five chapters: NeoTribal, Dotwork, Art Brut, Traditional Revival and Thai/Buddhist. The "Art Brut"chapter has never before seen tattoo stylings in North America. Popularized in France and Belgium, it takes street art and harmonizes those aesthetics with the body (a key element in tribal tattooing).
- Interviews include a chat with Leo Zulueta, the "godfather of tribal tattooing" -- the man who popularized the whole NeoTribal tattoo movement. Also, there's a compelling Q&A with Peter Schachner, who was imprisoned in Thailand in the early nineties and learned the craft of hand-poked Thai tattooing from fellow inmates over the four years spent at Lard Yao prison -- a name he uses when he tattoos on the road to honor his teachers.
- In addition to tattoo images by the tattooists, fine art photography by Craig Burton, Lars Krutak, Sean Toussaint, Cindy Villegas, and Lee Corkett are included.
